A Georgia man has been indicted for inducing panic after he allegedly smashed a display case, causing employees to evacuate the business. A Wood County grand jury on Oct. 4 indicted James Christian Duncan, 21, of Atlanta, for vandalism and inducing panic, both fourth-degree felonies. On Aug. 22, Duncan entered Panera Bread on Fremont Pike and allegedly began throwing items, kicked and smashed the glass display of the bakery and threw various coffee pots about the business. According to court documents, the staff evacuated the store. The estimated loss of business and damage to the property is $15,300. Duncan is in jail.
