A Leggett man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter this week after allegedly hitting and killing a pedestrian near a state park in Humboldt County, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, a 67-year-old Sacramento County man was walking on a trail along Highway 101 near the entrance to Richardson Grove State Park in Garberville and had stopped near the roadway edge to wait for a family member when he was struck by a 2010 Black Toyota Tundra heading southbound around 1:30 p.m. Sept. 20.
