September 11, 2023 (ATBARA) – The Criminal Investigations Department of the Nile River State in northern Sudan apprehended a field commander affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), as announced by the Sudanese Ministry of Interior on Monday. According to the Sudanese authorities, RSF members have been infiltrating neighbouring states of Khartoum to sow chaos and disrupt the mobilization of volunteers who intend to join the army in the Sudanese capital. RSF Political Advisor Youssif Izzat had previously stated to Sudan Tribune that if the conflict persists, the paramilitary forces may make changes to their strategy to target the secure states from which volunteers enlist in the army
