Paul Staehle's family is worried sick about him ... because he's a world away over in the Amazon and now appears to be lost in Brazil.
The "90 Day Fiancé" star's mom, Edna, tells TMZ ... Paul Staehle has been traveling in Brazil since the end of July, but on Thursday morning he sent his family some alarming texts.
We're told Paul told his mom he needed her help and was lost in the South American country ... telling her needed a boat and giving her contact info for a few folks he said might be able to help him get out of his situation.
Staehle’s family hasn’t since been able to contact him. His mom said people he said may be able to assist him have been unreachable as well.
Staehle’s wife, Karine, reportedly contacted relatives in Brazil about her husband’s possible whereabouts. She posted a message to him on Instagram referring to their relationship in the past tense.
His partner, Karine Martins, informed everyone on her Instagram page with the update that she and his family hadn’t heard from Paul in some time. The couple met online after he decided to look for love outside of his native Kentucky.
Karine Martins posted a cryptic post which suggests Paul Staehle has died after claiming he's gone missing. The 27-year-old Brazilian native and her 39-year-old husband have been a part of the reality TV franchise since their debut in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2017. Karine and Paul's chaotic relationship made its way to several spin-offs until 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5. There were rumors of Paul and Karine being fired because of their abuse allegations. Fans have since followed their journey on Instagram, where the couple was, until recently, fighting together for the custody of their kids. Karine is also clouding the picture with some cryptic posts about him ... seemingly adding to his mother's angst.
Last year, TMZ reported that a missing persons bulletin went out in Kentucky for Staehle and his young son, who both turned up unharmed. Staehle was reportedly going through a difficult domestic situation involving Karine and he said he needed time to process. The couple, who are 13 years apart in age, have a history of drama, according to Screenrant. They married in Nov. 2017.
