August 23, 2023 (JOHANNESBURG) – South Sudan and a Chinese company have inked an agreement for the construction of a dry port at Nimule border. South Sudan President Salva Kiir witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the South Sudanese Transport ministry and China Communications and Construction Company in South Africa on Wednesday. The Chinese Company, a statement noted, will also construct a presidential terminal at Juba airport, an apron project and an air traffic management system.
