July 31, 2023 (KHARTOUM) – The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) has welcomed a donation of $600,000 from Japan in support of emergency response in Sudan. This contribution, the agency said in a statement on Sunday, will reach refugees and asylum seekers who newly arrived in established camps in White Nile State, Gedaref and Kassala in Sudan after fleeing Khartoum and other conflict areas.
