Greuther Furth 4-4 Liverpool RECAP: in friendly match

The match was played behind-closed-doors and saw Jurgen Klopp field to different starting XIs for each half.

The Reds opened the scoring through Luis Diaz in the opening 45 minutes before things kicked off in the second period.

Adrian's mistake allowed Julian Green to score before Darwin Nunez grabbed a double. The German side then made it 4-3 before Nunez set up Mohamed Salah for a last-gasp equaliser

The whistle blows in Bavaria and Liverpool are rescued from embarrassment by Salah's late strike.

Liverpool should have been clear after Darwin Nunez's quick-fire double in the second-half and should have had a hattrick with the last kick of the game but saw his header brilliantly saved.

Jurgen Klopp will be happy with his side's attacking performance as Liverpool clicked with ease throughout and looked a formidable outfit but there are questions that need answering when it comes to the club's second-string defenders.

The Reds were due to take on the Bundesliga second tier team in their second warm-up friendly in the Black Forest region of the country at 12pm BST.

However, the kick-off has been put back with the area being hit by a spate of severe thunderstorms. It is expected the game, which is being played at the MS-Technologie-Arena in Villingen-Schwenningen, will now kick-off at 12.15pm.

The German hosts drifted through the Reds defence in the second passage of play and scored three goals in less than 10 minutes as Liverpool surrendered their initial lead.

That's it for the Reds in Germany and they will know prepare to head to Singapore for more pre-season action.

Darwin Nunez then scored twice for Liverpool, before Furth came back and edged 4-3 ahead with three goals in ten minutes — the first by Lukas Petkov and then a double from Armindo Sieb.

Mohamed Salah was on hand to equalise at the death, earning Liverpool a draw — a fair result.

There were plenty of positives for Jurgen Klopp, with Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez all looking very lively.

But there are definitely concerns defensively and the midfield was overwhelmed in the second period by the German side.

Klopp promised transfer additions, and you can see where he needs to strengthen.
