Joe Biden is telling the president to embrace his age like Harrison Ford and Mick Jagger

Forget about tripping over a sandbag. Jeffrey Katzenberg wants President Joe Biden to act like Mick Jagger.

The Wall St. Journal reports movie mogul Katzenberg has joined with other advisers to tell Biden to “own” his age and turn it into an asset. If Jagger (who turns 80 soon) and Ford (now 80) can still do it, Joe can lean into his longevity, the WSJ said, quoting sources.

Katzenberg is reported by the WSJ to have become “an influential outside adviser” in the last few months. The former studio head brings years of business experience, Hollywood storytelling bona fides, and a Rolodex of contacts in California’s entertainment and tech industry, the Journal contends.

According to the wall street journal, the former walt Disney Studios chairman has becme “ an influential outside adviser” to the white house and has given president Biden advice on how to counter his public image as being too old to be reelected in 2024. This past April, Katzenber was named one of seven co-chairs for Biden’s re-election campaign.

Along with other advisers, Katzenberg has told the 80-year- old president

To “own his age” and to turn a perceived negative into a positive. As examples,  he pointed to two celcbrities whi are Biden’s age:Rolling Stones front man Mick Jegger, who is still Performing with the band after 60 years together, and Harrison Ford ,who is expected to be in Emmy contention and whose final go-around as Indiana ones will hit theaters next weekend

In this role, Jeffrey Katzenberg — the co-founder of DreamWorks SKG and a national co-chair on Biden's campaign — is encouraging the president to proudly tout his age as experience, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Katzenberg has told Biden to embrace his age like 80-year-old Harrison Ford, who is reprising his role in the "Indiana Jones" franchise, or Mick Jagger, who was sill performing on tour last year at 79.

Aside from helping Biden convince hesitant younger voters that his age isn't an issue, Katzenberg is also expected to use his industry contacts to raise some $2 billion in campaign funds, the Journal reported.

While Katzenberg and Biden grew closer when the latter was serving as vice president, they've known each other since the 1980s, the Journal reported. Katzenberg has also said he doesn't want to serve in an appointed position or an ambassadorship, the outlet reported.
