IDSC: 31.4 percent reduction in value of non-petroleum trade deficit in 1st quarter in 2023
The Cabinet’s Media Center highlighted a reduction by 31.4 percent in the non-petroleum trade deficit during the first quarter of 2023 to hit 3.8 billion dollars, compared to the same quarter in 2022 that recorded 21.1 billion dollars. In its publication, titled “Non-Petroleum Commodities Exports,” the center spotlighted causes of the decrease in the value of non-petroleum imports. The value of non-petroleum exports reached in the same period 8.8 billion dollars against nearly 9.4 billion dollars in the comparison period, marking a reduction rate of about 6.4 percent, it said.
