A Ukiah woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday after allegedly trying to evade an officer, the Ukiah Police Department reported. According to the UPD, an officer saw a vehicle in the 1000 block of West Perkins Street around 1:15 a.m. April 8 with what he determined was likely fraudulent registration tabs, as records indicated that the registration on the white Honda Accord “was expired as of two years ago.” When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, however, he reported that the driver accelerated in an apparent attempt to evade the officer, who initiated a pursuit.
