March 20, 2023 (NEW YORK) – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General in Sudan, Volker Perthes is expected to brief the Security Council on the Secretary-General’s report released on 28 February. The report covers developments from 21 November 2022 to 18 February 2023. Perthes, also head of the UN Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) is expected to brief the Council on the progress achieved on the implementation of the Political Framework Agreement.
