Ghanaian football player Christian Atsu was rescued from under the rubble, 13 hours after a devastating earthquake that occurred in southern Turkey, on Monday, February 6. The player of the Ghana national team and the Turkish Hatayspor team was found with separate fractures and is currently undergoing treatment in hospital. Turkish media later in an official statement said that the former Chelsea player was recovered alive, after extensive searches that lasted for hours. Atsu, 31, is a winger in the Ghana national team. He joined Chelsea in 2015, after which he moved to Newcastle from 2016 to 2021. He moved to Al Raed Saudi club in 2022. The current season, he joined the Turkish team, Hatay
