At least 100 passengers were rescued when a ship they were travelling on crashed in the Nile River in southern Egypt. Authorities received reports that the ship, which was also transporting several vehicles, crashed near the city of Biba in Egypt’s Beni Suef governorate. Rescue teams were immediately sent, and the passengers were transported to a marina on the western banks of the Nile near the village of Kafr Nasser. The head of the council of Biba, Medhat Salah, confirmed to Al Arabiya that there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
