The Governor of Fayoum, Ahmed al-Ansari, met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Baqyat Al-Salihat Association, Marwa Yassin, to discuss establishing the first integrated city for the care and residence of Alzheimer’s patients. A government statement said that the proposed city adopts the principle of comprehensive, long-term care, psychologically, socially, environmentally, and medically. Yassin said that the city in Fayoum will be the first of its kind in Africa and the Middle East, and that it will serve as a therapeutic destination for medical tourism in the governorate.
