The past two presidents of my union, Kyle Bragg and Héctor Figueroa, were legends of the labor movement. But they did not burnish that legacy through self-aggrandizement or posturing. Rather, they established an absolute commitment to our members and the organizing mission of this union. And it’s a commitment that extends to all workers pushing forward the fight for dignity and respect. In sum, when we fight, we win. In the coming months and years, there will be no shortage of opportunities to live up to this credo.
