November 21, 2022 (JUBA) – South Sudan says it in talks with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the African Union (AU) member states to secure the lifting of the arms embargo imposed by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Speaking to Sudan Tribune on Monday, Security Affairs advisor, Tut Gatluak Manime said the first batch of unified forces graduated, but lacked weapons for deployment. “All the forces of the first batch of the necessary unified forces have been graduated.
