Gordonsville’s Sophie Linder capped off a historic high school career at the 2022 TSSAA Class A Girls’ Golf State Championship. Still, it didn’t come without excitement, as she completed a four-peat in Sevierville this week. Linder was up three strokes after shooting a seven-under 63 on the first eighteen holes. This is the lowest 18-hole score in TSSAA championship history, besting her record from last year by one stroke. She tied with Karlie Campbell of Summertown after 36 holes after each shot -8 over the two-day championship. Linder won the two-way playoff on the first hole after shooting a birdie to capture a record fourth state golf title. Linder becomes the fourth golfer all-time
