To the Editor: Hold the Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) Board to their promise! When they voted to close the (Redwood Valley) school in 2010, they promised to keep the school grounds in “pristine park like setting” condition for the community to use! The campus has barely been maintained and is an eyesore and fire hazard. From UUSD Board minutes Feb 9, 2010: “Trustees asked to confirm use of the schools for the community. Tom Birse, Director of Maintenance/Operations, reported that our most important resources besides students are our schools.
