Sacramento, CA– California state firefighters could potentially get three raises and fewer hours all within the next year as part of a tentative contract with Governor Gain Newsom’s administration. The contract would give CalFire firefighters a retroactive raise of 2.5% starting from July 1st, 2022, plus an additional 2% on January 1st, 2023, and a 2% raise on July 1st, 2023.
