In a Monday press release, Air Pollution Control Officer Douglas Gearhart that the smoke in the skies above much of Mendocino County is “from the Six Rivers Lightning Complex wildfire and surrounding wildfires in Northern California.” The release notes that as of Monday evening, the Six Rivers wildfire “remains active,” and that residents should “expect widespread haze and moderate smoke impacts for most of Mendocino County in the next few days.
