August 8, 2022 (KHARTOUM) – The Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo aka “Hemetti” Sunday, rejected Chadian claims that Sudanese herders looted camels from Chad before revenge raids by Chadian gunmen who killed 18 Sudanese in West Darfur. A spokesperson from the Chadian component of Sudanese-Chadian joint forces on Saturday accused Sudanese from West Darfur of rustling five camels, triggering attacks by Chadian owners of the stolen livestock.
