July 27, 2022 (JUBA) – The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has condemned the spate of recent attacks in Unity State, urging authorities to pursue peaceful means of averting the military conflict in the oil-rich region. “The UN Mission in South Sudan, UNMISS, condemns the attack on Friday, 22 July, on Mayom County, Unity State, resulting in the death of several people including the Mayom County Commissioner”, noted a statement issued on Wednesday.
