A Willits man was arrested recently for allegedly brandishing a firearm in public during an argument, the Willits Police Department reported. According to the WPD, officers responded to the 100 block of Holly Street around 7:15 a.m. June 23 for a report of a man brandishing a firearm. Upon locating the suspect still in the general area, officers reportedly detained the man, identified by the WPD as Cody Caldwell, of Willits, no age given, and placed him in handcuffs. While investigating he incident, officers reportedly learned that Caldwell “had been in an argument with a known male subject and brandished a loaded weapon at the male.
