A woman was stopped from jumping off the Noyo Bridge Tuesday by one of the officers who responded to the scene, the Fort Bragg Police Department reported. According to the FBPD, officers responded to the Noyo Bridge around 10:30 a.m. June 21 when several people called to report that a woman was crawling over the railing of the Noyo Bridge in Fort Bragg. When officers arrived, they saw a “distressed female with one leg over the bridge railing.” As other officers began talking to her, FBPD Officer “Padraic Ferris approached the female victim from behind (and) was able to grab her around the waist and safely pull her away from the railing to the pedestrian walkway.” The person was then transpor
