The Sultanate of Oman today expressed its condemnation of the insulting remarks made about Prophet Muhammad (may blessings and peace be upon him), Islam and Muslims by an official in the Bharatiya Janata Party. This came during Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin lssa Al Harthy's meeting with Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman Amit Narang. Al Harthy reiterated Omans rejection of insulting all religious symbols. He pointed out that such comments and incidents do not serve peaceful coexistence among people of different religions and only causes public outrage.
