Mendocino County officials announced this week that the Crisis Residential Treatment facility on South Orchard Avenue, funded in part by the Mental Health Treatment Act Measure B, opened its doors to clients. Officials had previously celebrated the facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in December of 2021, although construction was not quite complete. At the time, officials reported that “a few items (had been) delayed by Covid supply chain issues (including) fence staining and generator installation.” In January of 2022, county officials reported that construction on the facility — which has eight beds to offer adults “experiencing a psychiatric crisis” on a short-term, voluntary basis fo
