Another Mendocino County resident has died from Covid-19, Public Health officials reported this week. In his latest public update April 1, the first since March 4, Mendocino County Public Health Officer Dr. Andy Coren described the 126th patient to die from Covid-19 as an “82-year-old Hispanic man from North County who was not vaccinated.” As for hospitalizations, Coren said Friday there was only one Mendocino County resident hospitalized outside of the county, so there were “no Covid patients (as of Thursday night) in a local hospital.” Coren also described the daily rate of new cases as now “down very nicely,” though he explained that the county, the state and the national Centers for Dise
