To the Editor: “Neighborhood Speeders A Problem” was the UDJ first page top headline July 24. In the story, our Ukiah City Manager said he receives complaints on a regular basis from residents about speeding drivers on many city streets. He said, “when you really look at the issue, it’s neighbors speeding within their own neighborhood.” Agreed, we should really look at the issue. On North Oak Street, it’s not our neighbors who are daily tearing north and south at 40 to 50 mph, sometimes faster. These speeders are using our narrow residential street as an unobstructed straightaway drag strip to get in and out of town as fast as they can. The city’s 25 MPH signs on posts and pavement, and our
