K E Ashraf, an Indian expatriate from Kerala's Malappuram Keezhuparamba area, was honoured with a bravery award by the Qatar KMCC Malappuram District Committee. The Ernad constituency office-bearer of the Qatar Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC), had rescued two children in distress at the Al Thakhira Beach in Al Khor recently. The award was presented to Ashraf by Lt Abdul Aziz al-Muhannadi, a senior officer of Education and Awareness Division in the Community Policing Department of the Ministry of Interior, Qatar.
