This Saturday, July 24th, the Emigrant Basin Pack and Social Club will be holding their 20th annual Scholarship Dinner at the Sonora Elks Lodge. Joel Casler, founding member of the Emigrant Basin Pack and Social Club, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”. The Emigrant Basin Pack and Social Club started a couple of decades ago with a local group of friends who all enjoyed horse packing vacations in the Sierra Nevada. Soon after, the group voiced their desire to give back to the community. They decided to support the Tuolumne County Livestock Auction by purchasing pigs at the Mother Lode Fair.
