Beirut, SANA- The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdul- Karim, expressed Syria’s regret after a number of Lebanese people had attacked buses carrying Syrian citizens to the embassy in Beirut to participate in the presidential elections. Abdul-Karim, at a press conference, called on Lebanese competent authorities to hunt and punish those who perpetrated the assault as this harms the image of Lebanon. “It is regrettable and unjustifiable what has happened by a number of Lebanese persons who attacked Syrians who were heading for the Embassy to practice their duty,” ambassador Abdul-Karim said.
