Karachi: A group of 31 commandos belonging to the elite force of the Sindh Police has completed specialized anti-terror training imparted by the Pakistan Navy’s Special Services’ Group. The batch of police commandos belong to the Special Security Unit (SSU) of the Sindh Police, which is primarily mandated to protect vital installations, high-profile persons, and perform anti-terror policing in the province. The SSU was raised in the year 2010 with around 1,000 elite police personnel - now its strength stands at 3,000 including female police commandos.
