Karachi: The Sindh government has said that its drive is on to cut the number of stray dogs in Karachi and the province without committing any act of animal cruelty. As lethal dog bite cases are frequently reported in Karachi and other parts of the province endangering particularly the lives of children, the Sindh government said that vaccination and sterilisation were the two important features of its drive against stray dogs. Sindh Local Government Secretary Syed Najam Ahmed Shah said that over 30,000 stray dogs had been vaccinated against rabies in Karachi alone.
