Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 171 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 96 coronavirus patients recovered and 10 others passed away. In a statement, the Ministry said that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached up to 17,411 cases, of which 11,599 cases have recovered, and 1,163 cases have passed away. The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria in March 22nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was recorded on the 29th of the same month.
