A person was killed in a two-car crash on the Eisenhower Expressway early Sunday, according to Illinois State Police.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-290 near the Austin Boulevard exit, state police said. One person was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
State police did not share which hospital or whether the person was a driver or passenger. State police also released no details on either vehicle involved or exactly how the crash occurred.
No other injuries were reported.
