No. 5 Alabama football enters a big road matchup in Death Valley on Saturday against No. 14 LSU at 6-2, following a 31-20 homecoming win over Texas A&M and a bye week.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer provided updates Monday and on his radio show Wednesday, and the initial SEC availability report was released Wednesday evening. Here is the latest injury report for the Crimson Tide.
Newest updates
Ryan Coleman-Williams, wide receiver
The leading receiver is listed as questionable after missing the past two games while recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery for a meniscus injury. He also dealt with a head issue earlier. DeBoer sounded optimistic after the bye.
“A lot of these guys from Zabien Brown to Ryan Coleman-Williams, EJ [Crowell], Racin [Delgatty], Terrance Green in particular, those guys are all working onto the football field,” DeBoer said Monday. “They’re not all in the exact same spot, but they’re all out there going through workouts. Some are taking team reps, some are taking non-contact reps, but I think the progress by all of them is heading in a good direction.”
Zabien Brown, defensive back
The starting cornerback is listed as questionable after missing the Texas A&M game with a lower-leg injury suffered against Tennessee. DeBoer grouped him with others making progress but noted not everyone is at the same stage.
Racin Delgatty, offensive lineman
The starting center is listed as questionable after missing the past two games with a lower-leg injury from the Georgia contest. Practice footage showed him taking snaps this week. Mal Waldrep has started the last two games in his place.
Terrance Green, defensive lineman
The Oregon transfer is listed as questionable after missing the past two games with a lower-leg injury. Teammate Yhonzae Pierre hinted earlier in the week that Green could play.
William Sanders, offensive lineman
The starting left guard is listed as questionable after leaving the Texas A&M game with a high ankle sprain. He underwent TightRope surgery during the bye week, and DeBoer previously said the recovery would likely take two to three weeks.
EJ Crowell, running back
The freshman is listed as questionable after missing the Texas A&M game with a lower-leg injury from the Tennessee contest. DeBoer said he is working back with the others and has been getting reps in practice.
AK Dear, running back
Dear is listed as questionable, as he missed the first four games with a lower-leg injury from fall camp and has seen limited action since returning. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb said Monday he is “working back through some health things, even this week.”
“We’ll see how the week goes. If he got healthy, there’s a chance,” Grubb said.
Jett Thomalla, quarterback
The true freshman is listed as doubtful. He is third on the depth chart and has yet to play this season.
Casey Poe, offensive lineman
The reserve offensive lineman was ruled out on Thursday’s report after not appearing on Wednesday’s initial availability report. Poe has played 17 offensive snaps and 43 special-teams snaps this season.
Jared Graham, offensive lineman
The freshman reserve offensive lineman was also ruled out Thursday. He has not appeared in a game this season.
Status unchanged
Desmond Umeozulu, linebacker
The South Carolina transfer remains out with turf toe. He has been sidelined since the Florida State game.
“Desmond will still be out for a while yet,” DeBoer said. “He’ll be hopeful later on this season, but it will be towards the very back end of the regular season.”
Cayden Jones, linebacker
The junior remains out for the rest of the 2026 season with an undisclosed injury. He has not appeared in a game this year.
Jeremiah Beaman, defensive lineman
Beaman will miss the entire season after tearing an ACL in a late-August practice, the same knee that cost him most of 2025.
Nick Sherman, defensive back
The junior-college transfer has been sidelined since a lower-extremity injury in Alabama’s second fall scrimmage on Aug. 20. He has not played this season, and there is no public return date.
