The 86-year-old singer revealed that he thought his life was coming to an end after being hospitalized with a severe case of the flu.
According to BBC News, Jones spent a week at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, after falling seriously ill.

He recalled being asked by medical staff what he wanted to do after spending a week in the hospital. His response made it clear that he was eager to return to his passion.
“I’ve got to get back on the stage. This is where I belong. I can’t live without this, believe me,” he told the audience.

In an October 26 announcement shared on social media, the singer revealed that he had completed 20 shows across the United States before unexpectedly coming down with what he described as a “bad case of the flu.”
