Kimmarie Johnson, whose career was known for starring in Beverly Hills, 90210, has died at the age of 50. Her niece, Rhonda Scott, confirmed the news and her cause of death.
Scott reported to TMZ that the actor died following a “heart event” that took place on Oct. 27 at her home in Los Angeles. The medical emergency led to Johnson being rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with a “heart aneurysm condition.”
It was also reported that Johnson “peacefully” died several days later on Nov. 4 after “her heart stopped beating.”
According to JamaNetwork, a heart aneurysm is a condition: “an abnormal, localized bulge or ballooning in the wall of a heart chamber (such as the left ventricle) or a blood vessel supplying the heart (such as a coronary artery).” Common risks include blood clots forming, arrhythmias and heart failure.
A former flight attendant and Miss Pennsylvania USA, Johnson launched her acting career in the late 1990s. She moved to Los Angeles, where she started as a model for brands like Lady Footlocker before getting her first role in the Ashton Kutcher-led film Dude, Where’s My Car?
Finding her craft, Johnson appeared in multiple small roles in films such as Break a Leg, Legacy and The Summer of Massacre. Her big breaks came thanks to her venture into TV in the late ’90s. She played the role of Judy in Beverly Hills, 90210 and later played Kelly in Wanda at Large – Death of a Councilman.

Besides being an actor, Johnson was a businesswoman who founded the skincare and beauty brand and consulting company SkinGlow by Kimmarie in 2011.
