Scorpions Announce Their Return After a Year of Canceled Shows ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

For a band that has spent decades filling arenas with “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “Still Loving You,” a year of canceled and postponed shows left fans wondering when they would hear those songs live again. Scorpions now have an answer, along with more than 20 new dates on the calendar.

The German rockers revealed the Love, Peace & Rock N’ Roll tour on social media on Nov. 2. Longtime fans get first access to tickets on Wednesday, Nov. 4, with the general public sale following on Friday, Nov. 6. The run opens April 29 at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and moves through Spain, Germany, Poland, Austria, the U.K., France and Italy before crossing the Atlantic.

The announcement follows a difficult stretch. In April, the band scrubbed a four-show tour of India due to “unforeseen medical circumstances affecting the band members.” They recovered enough to complete a six-week European tour, playing their most recent show on July 31. In September, they shelved three concerts in Mexico and an eight-show Las Vegas residency. “The band is extremely disappointed but looks forward to returning to Las Vegas in September 2027,” the statement read at the time.

Those dates are now part of the new tour. The Mexico shows land Aug. 27 in Zapopan, Aug. 30 in Mexico City and Sept. 2 in Monterrey, followed by eight nights at PH Live at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas from Sept. 9 through Sept. 25. The 2027 concerts will be the band’s first time back onstage since July.

Health has disrupted the band’s plans before. In May 2025, Scorpions canceled several South American anniversary dates after singer Klaus Meine suffered a respiratory infection.

The return also arrives alongside a new chapter on screen. “Wind of Change,” a biopic about the band’s longest-running lineup, opens in German theaters on Jan. 28, 2027. Ludwig Trepte plays Meine, with Alexander Dreymon as guitarist Rudolf Schenker, Ed Speleers as guitarist Matthias Jabs and Luke Brandon Field as drummer Herman Rarebell. Dominic West appears as the band’s manager, Doc McGhee.

The film takes its title from the band’s 1991 top-five hit, a song written after Scorpions played the 1989 Moscow Music Peace Festival alongside Bon Jovi and Mötley Crüe. “Wind of Change” has since surpassed one billion streams across platforms. Producer Ali Afshar has said the band’s sound has an evocative quality unmatched in the genre, which is why its hits continue to get airplay and fill movie soundtracks.

The new tour continues the band’s Coming Home: 60 Years of Scorpions celebration, with Las Vegas closing the run in late September 2027.
