David Faustino channeled Al Bundy for Halloween. In a photo shared to Instagram, the Married…with Children actor posed with his real-life family to show off their group costume—and it took fans right back to the 1980s Fox sitcom.
In the photo, Faustino, 52, is dressed in khaki pants, a blue button-up shirt, and a loose tie as he recreated the look of his TV dad Al Bundy for Halloween 2026. Faustino’s longtime partner, Lindsay Bronson, stood next to him wearing a red bouffant wig and a leopard print top à la Peg Bundy. The couple’s daughter, Ava Marie, wore a long blonde wig, demim mini skirt and fishnets to play Kelly Bundy, while their son wore a backward baseball cap and black glasses to emulate Faustino’s character Bud Bundy’s alter ego, Grumpmaster B.
“Well… after a couple years of talking about it,… we finally pulled the trigger… #whoafaustino. (check out grumpmasterB there on the right),” Faustino captioned the photo.
View this post on InstagramFans and friends reacted to the photo, including Faustino’s Married…with Children co-star Christina Applegate.
“Haha oh my god Dave! She has me down!” Applegate wrote in the comment section.
“We all become our fathers,” another commenter wrote.
“Bud grew into his father’s shoes,” added another.
Others told Faustino he should make a sequel or reboot of the series he starred in as a teen.
“Call Fox and tell them to green light Married with Grandchildren,” one fan suggested.
Faustino was just 13 years old when Married…with Children premiered on Fox in April 1987. Co-starring Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal and Applegate (as Al, Peggy and Kelly Bundy, respectively), the groundbreaking sitcom aired for 11 seasons on the then-new network
Faustino’s character adopted a hip-hop alter ego, Grumpmaster B, during the sitcom’s run. Part of the joke was that Bud’s attempt at coolness was thwarted as everyone mixed up his rap name. His own dad Al called him Grasshopper, Gas Passer B, and Bedwetter B by mistake.
Married…with Children ended its run in June 1997, but it is still popular in reruns and on streaming platforms, making the characters instantly recognizable for a new generation of fans.
Earlier this year, Faustino told Extra he remains close with his former co-stars and even produced a reunion benefit, An Evening with The Bundys: The Married with Children Cast Reunion, benefiting the race to Erase MS charity amid Applegate’s ongoing health struggles.
Addressing his relationship with Applegate, Faustino told Extra, “We talk often. I mean, she’s helped me with a lot of things in my life, and I’m hoping I’m being there for her.”
The benefit, held at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, California, in January 2026, marked the first time the four main Married…with Children stars appeared onstage together in over a decade.
