Lauren Conrad’s Former ‘Laguna Beach’ Home Just Hit the Market for $26.5 Million, 22 Years After the Show Debuted ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

The home Lauren Conrad’s dad built during her first few seasons on Laguna Beach just went on the market for a whopping $26.5 million.

In 2004, tweens, teens, and plenty of reality-loving adults excitedly tuned into the then-brand-new MTV series Laguna Beach to watch the weekly drama of the ultra-rich che che kids of Orange County unfold. There were villains (Kristin Cavallari), hunks (Stephen Colletti), and the squeaky-clean princess of the OC, LC.

Fans might (scratch that, should) remember the absolutely opulent Three Arch Bay mansion that LC’s dad, architect James Conrad, built overlooking the ocean. In the pilot episode, LC and Colletti walk through the still-under-construction Mediterranean-style home as palm trees are lifted in and scaffolding surrounds the stone structure.

Over time, fans got to see the 11-acre, nearly 8,000-square-foot Pacific Ocean estate in all its glory. And how could we forget that party-ready infinity pool or the Season 2 kiss between LC and Colletti in the custom Jacuzzi?

But sadly, the home did not remain with the Conrad family for long. LC went off to college in San Francisco, quit college, moved back home, left for Los Angeles, attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, interned at Teen Vogue, and worked for Kelly Cutrone at People’s Revolution, all while filming The Hills.

According to People, property records show that the Conrads sold the home for $11,900,000 in 2008, two years after Laguna Beach wrapped. The sprawling six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home is now listed by Sotheby’s International Realty. Per the listing, Conrad’s old abode features a private office, two family rooms, formal living and dining rooms, terraces, private beach access, and coastal views.

But that’s not all. The gated community provides 24-hour security patrols, a clubhouse, and tennis courts.

Listing agent Richard Trey Dewey told the National Association of Realtors realtor.com website, “You can see all the way to Los Angeles to the north, and you can see all the way down to Coronado Island, San Diego, to the south. And so it sits on this little knoll that affords a view that, really, nobody else in Orange County has.”

He continued, explaining just how special the Mediterranean mansion is: “Not only is it not typical for Three Arch Bay, it’s not typical for Orange County or even Southern California on the coast. It’s truly a one-of-one property. I would say the next largest parcel in Three Arch is a 2.5-acre parcel.”

If you’re wondering whether the home still has that LC Laguna Beach days feel, you’re in luck. Dewey added, “It’s still very much the original old Conrad house.”
