Colston Loveland is a New Addition to the Chicago Bears Injury Report ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

The second installment of the Chicago Bears’ Week 8 injury report is out.

Unfortunately, it includes tight end Colston Loveland.

Loveland was listed as a limited participant because of a neck injury. That isn’t what any of us wanted to see as the team continues to gear up for its matchup against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson usually speaks to reporters before dishing out the final injury report of the week, so we’ll keep our heads on a swivel around here for anything he says on Saturday.

In the meantime, we can discuss the rest of the Bears injury report below.

Week 8 Chicago Bears Injury Report Adds Colston Loveland

In addition to the Colston Loveland news, here are some more notes from the Bears injury report:

Linebacker D’Marco Jackson (ankle) was downgraded from a limited participant on Thursday to a non-participant on Friday. That isn’t ideal. I’m not sure if this could be a rest-day thing for Jackson or a sign of something more serious. Jackson received a game ball after the team’s Week 7 win against the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. I’d hate to lose him, especially when the addition of defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons could open things up for him and his fellow linebackers. More linebacker news: T.J. Edwards (hamstring) and Jack Sanborn (concussion) were full participants for a second consecutive day. So at least it isn’t all bad news for Chicago’s injured linebackers. Cornerback Malik Muhammad (toe) remains limited. Would I have preferred seeing Muhammad upgraded on the injury report? Duh. But staying the course is better than the alternative of getting downgraded. Muhammad is just a rookie, but is still a key piece to this defense. Running back Kyke Monangai (toe, thumb) remains out of action. Even though ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler hears that Monangai’s chances of playing this week are “better,” it’s tough to buy it when DNP is next to his name on the injury report.
