Caleb Wilson Talks Relationship With Cam Boozer, Their Incredible Dual Auto Rookie Card ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

Why do sports cards and collectibles cost so much?

They’re not made of gold, but they’re still more valuable to some than gold itself.

It’s because of the player, the moment and, most importantly, the story behind it. Well, I believe that same reason is why we could be seeing one of the most valuable Caleb Wilson and Cameron Boozer cards about to be unearthed. And here’s why.

The Caleb Wilson & Cameron Boozer Holy Grail?

Before we get into the why, here’s the card in question: a 1/5 dual rookie auto of Caleb Wilson and Cam Boozer from the 2026–27 Topps Flagship Basketball set, due to release on November 5, 2026.

Caleb Wilson’s autograph also features the inscription “Night Rydas!” alongside a color match to the Bulls’ red on both the autograph and the card border.

There are a few reasons why this card could be highly sought after. First, its rarity. It’s numbered to just five, and it’s also a bookend (either the first or last number in the set).

Second, it’s two players signing the same card. And not just any two players. The third and fourth overall picks in the 2026 NBA Draft, both projected to be really great players in the NBA, and who’ve already shown glimpses of that potential.

Caleb Wilson and Cam Boozer are both in the top three of the Rookie of the Year race and have been putting up historic performances so far. Wilson is hot on Michael Jordan’s tail for some of the best scoring performances by a Bulls rookie, while Cam just became one of the youngest players in NBA history to record a triple-double.

“There have been some standout performances from the 2026 NBA Draft class, led by Memphis Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer, Golden State Warriors forward Yaxel Lendeborg and Chicago Bulls forward Caleb Wilson. It’s also a dual rookie card, meaning it’s one of the first cards from their professional careers that collectors will ever get their hands on.

All of these are multipliers that could drive up the card’s value.

But the biggest factor might just be Caleb’s “Night Rydas” inscription.

Anytime a player adds something more to their signature, it instantly makes the card more valuable. Especially with so many collections and sets out there, getting a player’s autograph on a card can be relatively easy. A player auto + an inscription? That changes the game.

For example, all three of Caleb Wilson’s most expensive cards feature his autograph alongside an inscription.

His 2025 Bowman Chrome Superfractor Caleb Wilson Rookie Auto 1/1 and 2025 Bowman Sapphire Caleb Wilson Chrome Auto Refractor #1/1 both feature the inscription “Go Heels,” while his Caleb Wilson 1st Auto Bowman Chrome Blue Refractor 1/150 has the inscription “My First Bowman Auto.”

But this one is different. It’s more than just an inscription. There’s history and meaning behind it. And that’s something I asked Caleb Wilson himself.

From Teammates to Rivals: What Does Caleb’s Inscription Mean?

Before this card was printed, before the 2026 NBA Draft or even the 2025 college basketball season, Caleb Wilson and Cameron Boozer were teammates.

In 2024, the two were Nike EYBL teammates with Nightrydas Elite, where they won the Nike Peach Jam title. Two budding stars on a championship-winning team, and their story was only getting started.

In college, Cam Boozer and his brother Cayden committed to the Duke Blue Devils, the alma mater of their father and former Bulls forward Carlos Boozer. Caleb, meanwhile, joined Duke’s longest-standing rivals, the UNC Tar Heels. That meant we’d get to see Boozer and Wilson share the court again, but this time on opposite sides of one of college basketball’s most historic rivalries.

As the year progressed, both players emerged as the top names in the 2026 NBA Draft class.

When the Chicago Bulls landed a top-four pick in the draft, everyone started asking the same question: Who would the Bulls be happier to land?

That led to constant comparisons between the two at the NBA Draft Combine, with side-by-side videos of their agility drills and plenty of discussion about how they stacked up against each other.

At the 2026 NBA Draft, Cam Boozer was selected third overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, while Caleb Wilson went fourth to the Bulls. In their first-ever Summer League matchup, Wilson put on an incredible performance with 35 points and seven three-pointers. But Boozer finished with 23 points and, more importantly, the win.

They met again during the 2026 NBA Preseason, where Caleb finished with 21 points, but Cam once again came away with the victory.

And this is the story of their relationship before they’ve even played their first (of many) regular-season NBA games against each other.

I asked Caleb Wilson about their relationship so far and what he thinks the future of that rivalry could look like.

“We won a national championship together. So, I always look back on that,” Wilson told Bleacher Nation. “Cam’s always been someone I respected. He’s a great player and he’s just fun to compete against because every time we play, I know he’s playing, and I know he’s going hard.”

Caleb continued.

“I feel like it’ll be great after we play with all the games we’ll play against each other. Hopefully meaningful ones in the playoffs and stuff like that. Have something to look back on and say, after our careers, just saying like, ‘that’s something that we did.’ And I just feel like it’s a lot of fun to have someone that you know, you can call your brother, your teammate, but also that you compete with at a really high level.”

There’s no guarantee that this will be the next Bird vs. Magic. But even as a baseline, look at Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel. The two were college teammates for one season, went on to have a very close Rookie of the Year race last season, and their collectibles have already shown incredible value.

With the history between Caleb and Cam, combined with the level of play we’ve seen from both so far, I can’t imagine this card not carrying a similar kind of appeal.
