Buzz continues to build around the Chicago Bears ahead of the 2026 NFL Trade Deadline.
Check out the clip featuring a conversation with analyst Ryan Clark and NFL insider Jordan Schultz on The Pivot. The 40-second video shared on social media presents the Bears as a team that is expected to be aggressive going into the NFL Trade Deadline:
The #49ers and #Bears are two teams prepared to be very active on the trade market and I’m expecting both teams to make some real noise. I discussed with @Realrclark25 on #ThePivot: t.co/dug3Myt3OS

The full quote from Jordan Schultz is an eye-opener:
“I think we’re heading toward a very active NFL trade deadline. We could see anywhere from 12 to 20 trades. And two teams I’m watching very closely — the 49ers and Bears. I’ve heard both teams connected to several defensive players, including rushers Josh Sweat, Khalil Mack, also DeForest Buckner, along with some names that aren’t necessarily on the trade block. I think both and Chicago and San Francisco want to be aggressive, and I’d be shocked if they don’t make a move before the deadline.”
Oh, that’s fun. For the second time in as many days, we’ve got a national NFL reporter sharing their expectation that the Bears will be aggressive ahead of the November 10 NFL Trade Deadline. Buckle up, folks. The 15 days between today and the trade deadline will be a doozy!

Mandatory Credit: Barry Reeger-Imagn ImagesEven though the Bears were off on Sunday, NFL insiders kept talking about the team. And with good reason! In case you missed it, we discussed an anecdote from FOX insider Jay Glazer, who says Chicago will be the NFC North’s most aggressive team at the deadline. Meanwhile, ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the Bears “keep calling” the Chargers about a possible Khalil Mack trade. However, the powers that be in Los Angeles continue to publicly stump for standing pat despite a 0-6 start.
17 POTENTIAL BEARS TRADE TARGETS AHEAD OF THE NFL TRADE DEADLINE
That said, it makes sense that this new bit of reporting has connected the Bears (albeit vaguely) to “several defensive players,” including Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat, Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, and “some names that aren’t necessarily on the trade block.” I love when the “Mystery Team” gets a ton of action in trade rumors, but raising the stakes by offering up a “Mystery Player” is a fun twist on the dynamic.
In any case, it is clear to me that the Bears are the team to watch at the NFL Trade Deadline.
