David Lawrence, one of the child actors from the classic TV series Bewitched, made a rare fan appearance—just in time for Halloween. The former child star, who played baby warlock Adam Stephens on the spooky sitcom, appeared at The Hollywood Show on Oct. 23 and 24 at the Burbank Marriott in Burbank, California.
Lawrence, 58, and his twin brother Greg shared the role of the blue-eyed son of Darrin and Samantha Stephens (Dick York, Elizabeth Montgomery), appearing in 17 episodes from 1970 to 1972. Their older sister Tabitha was played by Erin Murphy. Lawrence now goes by the name David Mandel-Bloch.
At the Hollywood Show, Lawrence posed with fans, signed autographs, and shared memories of his time on the classic sitcom, which ran on ABC from 1964 to 1972.
In a photo from The Hollywood Show shared by the Bewitched History book, Lawrence is all smiles as he poses with a fan. The actor has his hair pulled back and is wearing a Bob Dylan t-shirt in photos posted from the event.

Twenty years after Bewitched ended, the brothers appeared on Vicki Lawrence’s talk show, where they revealed they were raised by adoptive parents and discovered that their birth parents were actor Tony Curtis and model Peggy Potter, according to Remind magazine. Curtis, who died in 2010, never acknowledged the paternity.

Lawrence’s acting credits after Bewitched included a role in an ABC Afterschool Special in 1973, but he retired from acting soon after. He is also a talented painter and poet, and he later worked in the restaurant business, according to a bio on Bewitched.net.
In an interview with HNGN, Murphy, who played Tabitha Stephens from 1966 to 1972, was asked about the Lawrence brothers.
“One works in post-production and the other is a chef,” she shared at the time, adding that she still kept in touch with her Bewitched brothers.
“We have this group that is sort of every child actor,” Murphy added. “We started with a party at my ranch and invited every kid actor from every TV show we knew from all the generations, so we’re kind of all friends. It’s like this little secret underground thing. If you name a T.V. show from The Brady Bunch to The Waltons… we’re all in it. There’s a certain common ground that child actors share, we have experiences that other people don’t, so I think it’s easy to fall into friendships based on that.”
