With Halloween one week away, Heidi Klum is giving fans a close-up look at her 2026 costume—and it’s not exactly pretty.
In a Saturday, October 24 Instagram post, the supermodel shared an image of colorful prosthetic pieces arranged in a texture that looks like it could be meat or organs, particularly brain or intestines.
“What’s my costume?” the 53-year-old asked in the caption, adding, “One week to go….#HeidiHalloween.” She didn’t show her face or reveal how the pieces fit into the final look, leaving fans to study the strange close-up for clues.
View this post on InstagramSeveral guessed she might be Monstro Elisasue, the grotesque creation from the 2024 horror film The Substance. Others suggested the Clickers from The Last of Us, the post-apocalyptic series known for its unsettling infected creatures.
Others theorized it could be something to do with the ocean.
“Sea urchins or sea cucumber or ursula from lil mermaid,” one commented.
“Coral reef. Inspired by St Barth’s,” another said.
“Idk but I’m gagging already,” a third replied.
Klum has been hinting at a bloody costume for weeks. In a September interview with Parade, she offered a hint. “I will give you one clue,” she teased. “It’s bloody.” She also said she enjoys transformations that make her nearly unrecognizable. “I loved when I made myself really old,” she said. “That’s a lot of fun.”

Her annual Halloween bash, where the costume will make its full debut on October 31, has been a New York tradition since 2000, aside from a two-year pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s invitation-only, and costumes are required for entry. Past guests have seen Klum become everyone from Fiona in Shrek to Medusa, a giant worm, a peacock, and E.T.
Klum’s love of dressing up started long before the famous party. Growing up in Germany, she wore costumes for the February carnival season, when her mother made outfits for her. Halloween wasn’t widely celebrated there, which is partially the reason she goes all out for the holiday.
