Hilary Swank’s twins are already looking forward to meeting their new sibling, and the actress says they can hardly wait for the big day.
The Million Dollar Baby star, 52, is expecting her third child with husband Philip Schneider. In an interview with Us Weekly published October 16, Swank shared how their 3-year-old twins, daughter Aya and son Ohm, reacted to the pregnancy news.
“They are so excited and I’m due around Christmas time,” Swank told People at an event in New York City on October 15.
The actress explained that her children have been sharing the news with people they encounter, including babies at restaurants.
“They tell everyone,” Swank said, adding that the twins frequently ask, “Is it Christmas time yet?”
The actress also described the upcoming arrival as a special holiday gift for the family.
Swank announced her pregnancy on October 14 through a playful Instagram video featuring her husband and twins dancing in the dark with glow sticks. The clip ended with a glowing baby figure on her bump.
“A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December,” she captioned the post.
Swank and Schneider welcomed their twins in April 2023, nearly five years after marrying in 2018.
The actress has also discussed the criticism women can face when having children later in life. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she pointed out the difference in how society views older mothers and fathers.
“There’s a lot of backlash women get for having children older but not men, which is interesting,” Swank said, according to Us Weekly.
For now, the actress appears focused on enjoying this next chapter with her family. With the baby expected around Christmas, Aya and Ohm have an extra reason to look forward to the holiday season.
