AAA says the average in Rochester is at $4.39 a gallon, down two cents from last week. The state average is at $4.42, down three cents from last week.
Last year, AAA says the state average was $3.13. In Rochester, the average was $3.94.
According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is $4.29, down six cents from last week.
Diesel prices
The average for diesel in Rochester is $6.42, no change from last week, according to AAA. The state average for diesel is $6.50, down a penny from last week.
Although the average price in Rochester and in the state for diesel went down, AAA says the national average is at $6.31, up five cents from last week.
