Moroney commanded the stage as models strutted down the runway, delivering a performance in an eye-catching pink ensemble. “It is a medley. I’m performing a medley of three of my songs, and two of them I’ve never performed on TV before, so I’m excited,” she told the outlet.
She added, “I got to choose which songs I thought would be good for this runway. They’re very confident, girl power anthems that I’ve got. You know, I’m an emo cowgirl, but there will be no, like, ‘No Caller ID’ tonight. We’re not crying.”
Moroney also opened up about her most “outrageous” fashion moment, when asked by the outlet, recalling an unexpected mishap at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards a few years ago.
“I’ll tell you what my brain immediately went to,” she began. “At the ACM Awards a few years ago, I had these sticky underwear on, and they fell off on the carpet. So then I just took them off and gave them to my publicist.”
She continued, “So yeah, I didn’t have underwear on the carpet.”
Moroney was among four musical acts featured in this year’s show, joining Tate McRae, KATSEYE, and Megan Thee Stallion for the all-female lineup.
