ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say they’re searching for whoever shot a man on Central Park off North Union Street on Sunday evening.

Officers responded to a call for a shooting and found a man in his 20s with a lower-body gunshot wound. An ambulance took him to the hospital, and he is expected to survive.

Police shut down Central Park between First and Fourth streets for the investigation on Sunday, and are still working to determine what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
